Work with the materials that stay
Stonework, roofing, windows, and wood finishes are the starting point for a coordinated palette. Samples should be considered beside them, not chosen in isolation.

THE DOMINION · NORTHWEST SAN ANTONIO
Thoughtful painting for The Dominion’s distinctive homes in San Antonio. From stucco walls beside natural limestone to high ceilings and detailed woodwork, we’ll help you choose a finish that complements the architecture—and the way you live.
PAINTING FOR THE WAY YOU LIVE HERE
The Dominion sits along northwest San Antonio’s I-10 corridor near Leon Springs, with The Shops at La Cantera and The Rim nearby. Its Mediterranean-inspired homes and contemporary Hill Country architecture call for an individual approach. Natural limestone, stucco, clay tile roofs, and wrought-iron accents all influence how a paint color looks. A repaint should bring those elements together.
For a classic exterior, that might mean a softer wall color beside warm stone and a richer tone at the entry. In a contemporary home, it may be crisp transitions between painted walls, wood, and dark window frames. We’ll help you consider the whole setting before settling on the finish.

Where the house sits back from the road, we’ll discuss driveway parking and unloading with you. Equipment routes should account for planting beds, trees, and outdoor living areas.
For occupied homes, we’ll talk through the rooms you need, furniture protection, and a sensible work sequence before the first surface is prepared.

EXTERIOR HOUSE PAINTING IN THE DOMINION
A stucco wall beside limestone needs a different color conversation from painted trim beneath a tile roof. We’ll review the painted surfaces, their condition, and how the proposed colors work with your home’s permanent finishes.
Sunny elevations and sheltered porches can weather differently. Preparation and coating choices should follow what each surface needs, with care around masonry, windows, landscaping, and paving. We’ll discuss a coating suited to the existing finish, sun exposure, and substrate rather than treating stucco, wood trim, and interior walls as interchangeable.
We also paint wrought-iron gates and details. We’ll assess the existing finish and preparation needs, then coordinate the color with your entry, stonework, and exterior trim.
INTERIOR HOUSE PAINTING IN THE DOMINION
High ceilings, long sightlines, and detailed trim can make a small color change feel significant. We’ll consider how the entry, living spaces, and adjoining rooms read together, so the finish feels intentional as you move through your home.
Large windows and changing daylight can reveal differences in sheen across a wall. We’ll discuss washable matte or satin options where appropriate, alongside the durability, surface preparation, and finish you prefer. We’ll also plan furniture protection and phase the work around the rooms you use most.

BEFORE YOU BOOK
From exterior approvals to access on the day, a little planning makes the next step easier.
We use Sherwin-Williams Duration, SuperPaint, and Emerald. The product and sheen are selected for the surfaces, condition, and requirements of your project. We’ll discuss the options during your estimate and confirm the agreed coating in the scope of work.
The Dominion HOA lists exterior repainting in its architectural review process and asks for proposed color samples and current photos. Confirm the requirements with the ACC before work begins, including when you intend to keep the existing color. We can help organize the painting scope and color details for your submission; approval remains with the HOA.
The Dominion HOA describes guest authorization by calling security or using EntranceIQ. Before our appointment, we’ll agree on the entry arrangements and ask you to authorize the visit through the current community process. We’ll also confirm which entrance to use and discuss crew access, parking, and unloading before painting begins.
Yes. We can discuss the proposed wall, trim, and cabinet colors alongside the materials that will remain. Ask about samples during the estimate so you can review the finish in your home’s natural and artificial light before making the final choice.
We consider the room’s daylight, artificial lighting, ceiling height, surface condition, and everyday use. A washable matte finish can soften reflections on large walls, while satin may suit areas that need more frequent cleaning; performance varies by product. We recommend reviewing samples in the room at different times of day. For a touch-up or adjoining area, we’ll assess the existing finish first—age, texture, and lighting can make an exact match difficult.
We assess the actual surfaces and their condition, ceiling and elevation heights, preparation, protection, and equipment access. A large lot alone does not determine the painting price. Tell us about a long driveway, limited access, or detailed trim so those practicalities can be included in the assessment.
Tell us which rooms and access routes you need each day. We’ll discuss whether the work can be phased, where furniture can be moved, and the ventilation and drying time required by the chosen coatings. The plan depends on the scope and your household’s needs.
